Sainte Foy - The "Jewel in the Crown"
Sainte Foy is a luxury winter sports resort in the French Alps, close to Italy and Switzerland. Located in the Savoie department, Sainte Foy lies in the Tarentaise valley, close to some of Europe's most famous ski resorts such as Val d'Isère, Tignes and Les Arcs. For this reason, it is often referred to as the 'Jewel in the Crown'. Sainte Foy’s stunning location gives breathtaking views of the valley below whilst the north-facing slopes retain the snow for an extended period.
Queues? What Queues? The column on the right shows the facts and figures of Sainte Foy - but they don't convey the relaxed atmosphere of the resort. The images below were taken during early April 2009 and show a typical piste - smooth, reliable - and a distinct absence of crowds. During this peak week, the longest we spent in any queue was 3 minutes. Whatever you are looking for Whether you are a skiing beginner or a snowboarding expert, Sainte Foy has something special to offer you. From swooping blues to the best off-piste powder bowls in the Alps, the lack of crowds means that your favourite area remains in great condition. A Family Resort Without doubt, this is primarily a family resort - with a high level of personal ownership. Families return year after year. | Resort Summary
